Position Summary:

Kaye/Bassman International is in search of a skilled and committed Director of Surgical Services to lead and manage several essential service lines. This position entails overseeing the comprehensive direction and coordination of the Operating Room, Sterile Processing, Gastroenterology Procedures, Perioperative Services, and Infusion/Wound Care Services. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with extensive experience in nursing management and the capability to efficiently manage personnel and resources.

Key Responsibilities:

The Director will:

  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight for the following service lines:
    • Operating Room, Sterile Processing, Gastroenterology Procedures, Perioperative Services, Infusion/Wound Care Services
  • Oversee a team comprising 36 Full-Time Equivalents (FTEs)
  • Supervise and mentor 2 direct reports: the Manager of the Operating Room and the Manager of Perioperative Services
  • Develop and enforce policies and procedures to guarantee exceptional patient care and efficient departmental operations
  • Collaborate with other department leaders to foster a unified and effective working environment
  • Ensure adherence to all regulatory standards and requirements
  • Engage in budgeting and resource distribution to enhance departmental performance
  • Monitor and assess staff performance, offering coaching and professional development opportunities
  • Promote a positive and supportive workplace culture to improve staff satisfaction and retention

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of nursing experience
  • At least five (5) years of experience in a nursing leadership role with oversight and direct management of departmental staff and resources
  • Current RN licensure to practice in Washington
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
