Job Overview

Omitron, Inc. is in search of a Audiovisual (AV) Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team, focusing on advanced audiovisual solutions. The successful candidate will oversee the management of proprietary AV and Video Teleconferencing (VTC) systems.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the configuration management and documentation processes while implementing and maintaining all facets of proprietary audiovisual systems and secure distributed KVM networks.
  • Manage operations floor data walls and VTC systems in conference rooms; collaborate with the VTC Team for system installations, upgrades, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Conduct necessary maintenance tasks as required.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% as needed.

Essential Qualifications:
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI clearance with consent to CI Poly required.
  • Education: Completion of vendor-specific training (Thinklogical SMP Tier 2 Administrator) upon hiring.
  • Certifications: IAT II Certification (CompTIA Sec+ preferred, Net+ etc.), or the ability to obtain within 6 months.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Education: Associate's degree in Information Technology or a related engineering discipline.
  • Experience: A minimum of 4 years in systems engineering support.
  • Strong communication skills to articulate AV system capabilities and requirements to mission personnel.
  • Ability to collaborate with a team of AV specialists and coordinate with communications departments.
  • Experience in AV system maintenance, including:
    • Conducting health checks
    • Identifying pixel damage
    • Configuring appliances
    • Managing rolling displays
    • Troubleshooting audio issues
    • Integrating non-standard systems
    • Cleaning hardware, switches, and filters
    • Managing inventory and lifecycle
    • Configuring and managing network switches (Cisco)
    • Configuring and managing matrix switches (Thinklogical)
    • Familiarity with various AV control systems and delivery methods (Thinklogical, Crestron, Christie, Tandberg, Projectors, Data Walls, Velocity, and TLX series modules)
    • Assisting network administrators with security scans (ACAS, Syslog)
    • Basic cabling skills (Copper and Fiber)
  • Demonstrated initiative to continually learn and enhance skills in managing proprietary AV systems in a fast-paced operational environment.

Compensation and Benefits:

The salary range for this position is $125,000 to $145,000, based on relevant experience and qualifications.
