Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and engineer comprehensive Audiovisual systems.
  • Analyze project plans, requests for proposals (RFPs), and specification documents.
  • Estimate project costs, including expenses and logistics, through a thorough understanding of project specifications.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to gather customer requirements and facilitate client communication.
  • Prepare detailed bills of materials.
  • Construct systems based on consultant-driven designs and innovative solutions tailored to client needs.
  • Draft a detailed scope of work with technical specifications.
  • Create technical drawings to assist in the sales and proposal processes.
  • Conduct site evaluations and technical review meetings.
  • Engage with consultants, vendors, general contractors, and electrical contractors.
  • Assist the Operations Team with change order management.
  • Transition projects effectively to Project Managers and Installation Teams to ensure successful implementation.
  • Showcase innovative solutions that distinguish LINX Multimedia in the market.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, with 5-10 years of relevant experience.
  • Certification in CTS is required; CTS-D certification is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years of experience in professional audio/video integration.
  • Familiarity with Bluebeam and estimating software is advantageous.

Compensation

Annual salary range: $65,000 - $85,000.

Position Overview:

The AV Estimator/Design Engineer is a proactive and team-oriented professional responsible for generating bills of materials, defining scopes of work, designing systems, and producing complex estimates in partnership with the operations and sales teams. A strong understanding of industry products, their functionalities, and best installation practices is essential. This role requires the ability to foster effective working relationships with external clients and internal leadership through professionalism and exceptional communication skills.
