Job Summary

Pinnacle GI Partners is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Receptionist to join our team. As a key member of our surgery center staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcoming and guiding patients, visitors, and salespeople in a professional and courteous manner
  • Managing incoming calls, scheduling appointments, and preparing schedules for the next business day
  • Coordinating multiple procedure schedules effectively, maximizing resource utilization, and avoiding scheduling conflicts
  • Obtaining and verifying patient demographic and financial information
  • Answering questions as able, referring clinical questions to RNs or Clinical Coordinator
  • Entering/verifying patient information in the computer system
  • Completing all necessary insurance information
  • Processing and preparing outgoing mail
  • Performing bookkeeping tasks and/or assisting as required with authorizations
  • Scheduling follow-up appointments, outpatient procedures, and tests, and making referrals to physicians as necessary
  • Requesting medical records/reports from referring physicians
  • Confirming patient procedure appointments
  • Mailing/faxing prep brochures and other materials to patients as necessary
Requirements
  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and CPT and ICD-9 coding
  • Previous front office experience in a medical practice environment, preferred
  • Current CPR certification
  • Must successfully pass a background check and a drug screening
