Job Overview

Arcetyp LLC is an expanding small enterprise dedicated to delivering a wide array of consulting solutions to the US Federal Government, US Military, and commercial sectors. We are seeking to fill a role focused on providing essential medical assistance within our healthcare operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare examination areas prior to patient visits.
  • Gather and record patient medical history, medication usage, primary concerns, allergies, and vital signs on the appropriate documentation before the patient enters the examination area.
  • Conduct diagnostic tests as instructed, including EKGs, urine tests, blood draws, etc.
  • Assist in transporting patients to various clinical departments as required.
  • Verify each medical record for the provider's signature, stamp, and the patient's diagnosis before returning the documentation to Health Records.
  • Adhere to the standards set by The Joint Commission, relevant legal provisions, and the regulations of all governmental bodies concerning healthcare personnel licensure and medical treatment facilities, as well as the standards of medical practice and the bylaws of the medical staff.

Essential Skills and Knowledge:

  • Maintain productivity levels consistent with peers performing similar duties.
  • Comply with the directives of the Department of the Navy, Bureau of Medicine and Surgery, and local guidelines throughout the contract duration.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of legal considerations in all patient care activities and strive to manage situations to minimize risk.
  • Fluently read, write, speak, and comprehend the English language, ensuring effective communication with patients and healthcare staff.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 0-1 years of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant.
  • Possession of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Graduation from a medical assistant training program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP), the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES), a formal medical services training program of the United States Armed Forces, or another specified formal program.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A comprehensive understanding of military life and experience working with military families.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
