Position Title: Certified Medical Assistant

Hourly Wage: $23.39

Role Summary:

This is an on-call Medical Assistant role available at our Burien Medical Clinic. The ideal candidate will possess outstanding customer service abilities, exhibit a professional and enthusiastic demeanor, and demonstrate proficiency in multitasking. Medical Assistants play a crucial role in the healthcare team, facilitating patient flow and ensuring the delivery of quality care in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to protocols for patient rooming and exiting procedures.
  • Process all provider referrals for each patient.
  • Administer injections and distribute oral medications as per physician orders; perform venipuncture.
  • Assist medical providers with documenting office visits, ensuring effective communication and comprehensive patient care coordination.

This list of duties is not exhaustive; additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Must hold a Washington State Medical Assistant Certification or possess an Interim License and successfully pass the exam within the initial probationary period.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification is required within 90 days of hire and must be maintained throughout employment.
  • Experience with EPIC software is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred, though not required.
