Job Summary:

Norwegian Cruise Line is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager of Cruise and Youth Programs to develop, produce, and operate a compelling suite of onboard entertainment and youth programs that align with the brand standards of Norwegian, Regent, and Oceania.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development and delivery of high-quality cruise and youth programs, collaborating with the team to create and source new program ideas, and ensuring that all programs are consistently delivered across the fleet.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver high-quality cruise and youth programs that meet brand standards and guest satisfaction goals

  • Ensure that all programs are consistently delivered across the fleet, adhering to company policies and standard operational procedures
  • Review and suggest improvements for programs, focusing on cost savings, efficiencies, and maintaining high levels of guest engagement
  • Strategize and manage revenue-generating initiatives related to onboard entertainment and youth programs
  • Prepare and execute an annual operations budget exceeding $2 million, actively seeking cost savings and efficiencies
  • Oversee inventory management and ensure accurate and timely revenue reporting
  • Conduct onboard training to address areas of deficiency, improve overall performance, and develop team members
  • Ensure all team members are aligned with company policies and operational expectations
  • Participate in new build and dry-dock projects related to the development of youth and cruise program spaces
  • Prepare Capital Project Appropriation Request (CPAR) budgets for refurbishments and new initiatives
  • Travel to ships to review the quality of programs and staff development, ensuring high levels of guest satisfaction
  • Act as a support role to the fleet, addressing day-to-day operational challenges and providing relevant solutions
  • Work alongside the IT team to test and evaluate new concepts for cruise programs and ensure that all systems are up to date
  • Contribute to the development and revision of digital training tools and policies to align with safety operations and public health regulations
  • Create alliances with other companies to enhance the product offering, attracting and retaining customers
  • Work closely with the Youth Program Specialist and other direct reports on program development, administrative tasks, and fleetwide scheduling of management positions within youth programs
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Recreation Management, Hospitality Management, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the cruise industry, resorts, or hotels with a focus on youth and entertainment programs
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale programs, team development, and revenue management
Competencies/Skills:

  • Ability to manage budgets, inventory, and revenue reporting
  • Proficient in developing and implementing creative and operational strategies that drive guest satisfaction and operational efficiency
