About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Comprehensive Suicide Prevention Lead Program Evaluator to join our team at the Ohio Department of Health. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and conducting research and analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of our Comprehensive Suicide Prevention Program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and conduct research and analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of the Comprehensive Suicide Prevention Program.
  • Develop evaluation plans and logic models for programs and projects undertaken by the CSP Program.
  • Oversee and conduct assigned program evaluation activities, including data collection, process evaluation, quality implementation, outcome monitoring, and reporting systems.
  • Analyze program data to determine the impact of program activities on human behavior.
  • Collaborate with the CSP Program to analyze population-level data and propose data-driven interventions.
  • Lead analytical studies of the CSP Program regarding agency-specific issues or services.
  • Use available databases and create specialized databases.
  • Coordinate the administration and reporting of assigned program evaluation measures.

Requirements
  • Graduate core coursework in social science or public administration with at least 6 courses in advanced statistics and statistical analysis and research theory, design, and methodology.
  • 18 months of experience in research and/or social science policy analysis using advanced statistics and statistical analysis and research theory, design, and methodology.
  • 12 months of training or 12 months of experience in the use of computer hardware, software used for spreadsheets, statistical analysis, and graphics presentation and work processing.
