Job Summary

The YWCA Columbus is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Social Justice Program Manager to join our Leadership and Social Justice Department. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the development, coordination, and execution of social justice programming and events that promote empowerment and leadership among women and girls.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the development and implementation of social justice programs and events, including the Bright Futures program and the Kathy Duffy Espy Leadership for Social Change program.
  • Facilitate group programs and workshops that promote leadership and social justice, and create annual correspondence schedules for communication with program participants and alumni.
  • Devise community outreach and engagement efforts to promote and deliver social justice education, and participate in community-facing fairs, events, and meetings.
  • Develop and advise on internal and external communications related to social justice and empowerment, including newsletters, educational videos, and social media posts.
  • Maintain program databases and participant information, and monitor and evaluate programmatic and operational effectiveness.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in political science, social sciences, education, public policy, or related field.
  • Minimum 1 year experience managing and motivating staff and/or volunteers.
  • Minimum 1 year experience facilitating group programs, preferably for women and girls, and other marginalized communities.
  • Ability to plan, implement, lead, and evaluate collaborative projects.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, and ability to represent the organization across a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Experience developing social justice, community organizing, and/or leadership programming.
  • Experience building relationships and partnerships with organizations, and ability to work effectively and collaboratively with diverse colleagues and community groups.
