Job Title: Comprehensive Pain Specialist - Pediatric Acupuncture

Job Summary:

Nationwide Children's Hospital is seeking a skilled Comprehensive Pain Specialist to join our team in the Pediatric Acupuncture department. As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive pain management services using acupuncture therapy.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized pain management plans for pediatric patients using acupuncture therapy
  • Collaborate with the Pain Team to evaluate alternative care options when goals of acupuncture are deemed ineffective
  • Provide education to patients, families, and healthcare team members on the use of acupuncture for pain management
  • Participate in research and education efforts of the Comprehensive Pain Service
  • Apply family-centered care principles in all interactions with patients and families

Requirements:

  • Certification by the National Board of Acupuncture or Oriental Medicine
  • Licensure by the Ohio Medical Board
  • Experience with pediatric acupuncture preferred
  • Evidence of at least one year of practice or education in an integrated medicine environment
  • Must have own malpractice insurance
