We are in search of a Construction Site Manager to oversee our federal projects, primarily focusing on facilities maintenance and upgrades. As a leader in sustainability and energy efficiency, our team plays a crucial role in managing installations, retrofits, and maintenance tasks related to mechanical systems at military installations.
About Us: Johnson Controls Federal Systems (JCFS) is a distinguished partner to the federal government, dedicated to modernizing military and federal facilities to enhance efficiency, resilience, and security.
Compensation and Benefits:
Pay Range: $90,000 - $120,000 based on experience
Benefits: Eligible for benefits from the first day of employment
Vacation: 3 weeks of paid vacation, 5 sick days, 3 floating holidays, and 10 standard holidays per calendar year (totaling 6.5 weeks)
Travel Requirements: Limited; most work is conducted at the primary location.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the construction and maintenance activities of assigned projects, ensuring adherence to plans and specifications while maintaining quality and budget.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols as per company and contract requirements.
- Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with safety regulations to mitigate risks and hazards.
- Supervise subcontractors and ensure timely completion of their tasks.
- Collaborate with project managers to develop construction methods and service requirements.
- Coordinate activities among employees and subcontractors to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist in quality control processes to meet contract specifications.
- Plan and schedule work tasks, providing updates on progress.
- Facilitate inspections and tests as required by contractual obligations.
- Engage in regular meetings with stakeholders to discuss project status and address any issues.
- Act as the primary point of contact on-site for daily operations and problem resolution.
- Perform additional duties as necessary.
Required:
- Experience in project coordination or supervision within the construction or service sectors.
- Knowledge of OSHA and USACE safety regulations.
- Proven ability to manage technical teams effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills for client and employee interactions.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Capability to obtain necessary security clearances for project assignments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in developing safety plans and hazard analyses.
- Familiarity with HVAC, mechanical, electrical, or building automation systems.
- Background in federal government or Department of Defense projects.
Education:
- Bachelor's or Associate Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related fields, or equivalent experience.
- Completion of a 30-hour OSHA Construction Safety course.
