Job Summary:

The Construction Safety Manager will be responsible for overseeing and implementing safety protocols, conducting safety training, investigating accidents, and ensuring compliance with Occupational Health and Safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide site safety oversight for all California projects, as assigned.
  • Conduct daily site safety inspections using the "I-auditor" application.
  • Prepare and deliver weekly safety bulletins to crews.
  • Attend regularly scheduled safety team meetings.
  • Support the crew supervisor in maintaining the HMS safety program and PPE program.
  • Conduct incident investigations in accordance with the HMS Incident Investigation Manual.
  • Work closely with the Corporate Safety Director to develop site-specific Activity Hazard Analysis and other project requirements.
  • Support the administration effort related to safety programs and audits.
  • Support management and field leadership in safety procedures and documentation.

Requirements:

  • CHST credential is mandatory.
  • Occupational Health and Safety Training.
  • Experience in Environment Health and Safety (EHS).
  • Accident Investigation skills.
  • Industrial Safety knowledge.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in the construction industry is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field is a plus.
