Job Overview:

The Operational Risk Analyst for Business Units plays a crucial role in ensuring that business operations adhere to regulatory and legal standards as well as the organization's policies. This position collaborates with various teams to effectively implement the Operational Risk Framework across the designated business line.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct compliance assessments and oversee legal entities, business units, and processes.
  • Maintain documentation and report compliance status and potential issues to management.
  • Analyze the execution of the operational risk management framework, including risk assessments, loss events, and emerging risk identification.
  • Evaluate compliance processes and report findings to management, comparing current practices with established policies.
  • Test business initiatives for compliance with policies.
  • Assist in reviewing contracts and agreements.
  • Prepare and maintain risk management documentation and reports.
  • Provide timely updates on operational risk issues to management.
  • Lead the development of risk assessment programs and action plans to mitigate operational risks.
  • May supervise the daily activities of other operational risk associates.
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and seven (7) years of experience in finance, risk, or operations, with specific experience in the relevant business line.
  • Alternatively, a High School Diploma or GED with eleven (11) years of experience in finance, risk, or operations, including experience in the relevant business line.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
  • Effective communication abilities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in writing and revising procedures.
  • Background in Financial Crimes (BSA/Fraud).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Prior experience in Governance or a similar role.
  • Experience in creating executive-level reports.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint for procedure management.
  • Ability to create or modify process maps using Visio.
  • Capability to provide constructive feedback to business units.
Note: This position may be filled at a higher level based on the candidate's qualifications and relevant experience.

Position Type: Full-time

Compensation:
Pay ranges are specific to the job and are provided as a market reference for compensation decisions. Factors impacting pay include experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location, and performance.
