Job Overview:
As an Enterprise Risk Governance Analyst at Regions, you will engage in the implementation of a thorough risk management strategy aimed at ensuring that risks are identified, assessed, mitigated, monitored, and reported in accordance with the Risk Management Framework, the Board of Directors' Risk Appetite Statement, and regulatory standards. This role will directly support Business and Risk Management partners in executing risk initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitates the development and execution of internal risk and control frameworks to ensure objectivity and uniformity in risk assessment, management, and reporting throughout the organization, while providing critical evaluation of existing risk and control frameworks.
  • Assists in the aggregation and updating of enterprise-level financial and non-financial risk metrics.
  • Contributes to the creation and regular reporting of metrics that evaluate key risk and performance indicators.
  • Analyzes risk data and prepares risk assessments, maintaining supporting documentation.
  • Collaborates with business partners, technology teams, and specialized risk management groups to comprehend functional requirements, enhance processes, and optimize risk program execution.
  • Coordinates various projects, including change management, design, implementation, communication/reporting, and stakeholder management.
  • Develops presentations, training materials, and reporting tools utilizing SharePoint, PowerBI, and enterprise Governance, Risk, Compliance (GRC) Archer tools.
  • Organizes meeting agendas and prepares materials, including drafting minutes for various risk committees.
  • Provides guidance and support to junior analysts.
Position Type: Full-time

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Risk Management or a related business field.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in risk management, public accounting, or the financial sector.
  • Familiarity with enterprise risk and operational risk management frameworks, principles, and practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of databases, data structures, bank financial reporting, and banking regulations.
  • Proficiency in Archer, Microsoft Power BI, and/or Tableau.
  • Experience in process improvement, optimization, and solution development.
  • Experience in drafting executive and board risk reports under supervision.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Ability to research, analyze data, and draw conclusions.
  • Ability to work with moderate supervision.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
  • Excellent project management and change management skills.
  • Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational abilities.
  • Strong work ethic and self-motivation.
  • Independently manage Enterprise Risk programs for identifying, measuring, mitigating, monitoring, and reporting risks.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across all lines of defense to administer Enterprise Risk programs.
