About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Shelf Edge Specialist to join our team at H-E-B. As a Shelf Edge Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of our store's inventory management, space management, and price image on the shelf edge.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Shelf Edge Manager in maintaining accurate inventory levels and ensuring compliance with Store Inventory Management (SIM) and plan-o-gram (POG) SOPs.
  • Conduct perpetual audits to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Execute category refresh requirements for new item placement and store-assigned category updates.
  • Assign product shelf assignments (PSAs) to all plan-o-gram items and displays.
  • Audit to ensure all plan-o-grams are properly set and current.
  • Ensure demographic alignment within plan-o-grams.
  • Conduct shelf edge sanitation and process preliminary exception reports.
  • Ensure ad, price, and item sign accuracy.
  • Hang coupons for the entire store and pull expired coupons.
  • Print, replenish, and correct coupons, as well as create letters of corrections.
  • Conduct ad walks and WIC audits.
  • Process tags host batch and execute price changes.
  • Ensure accountability for ad racks and scale checks.
Requirements
  • 1+ years of experience in a retail environment.
  • Experience in new item cut-ins, refresh process, and reviewing plan-o-grams for accuracy.
  • Primary certification (experience) in a specific shelf edge function (SB1, SB2, SB3).
  • MHE certification within 6 months of hire.
  • Working knowledge of Symbol usage/application.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and shift focus between tasks, with attention to detail.
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to function in a fast-paced, retail environment, with detailed and precise tasks. You will be required to use skid/pallet jacks, constantly reach at waist, grasp, frequently stand, walk, occasionally sit, reach overhead, reach at shoulder, reach at knee, reach at floor, bend, stoop, squat, crouch, kneel, stair climb, pivot, twist, push/pull with arms, pinch, and perform fine motor movements. You may be occasionally exposed to cold, hot, loud noises, ambient temperatures, and wet conditions. You will be required to demonstrate the ability to lift 50 lbs and manage in excess of 65 lbs.

Please note that it is the Partner's responsibility to never lift beyond their own safe lifting limit. If an item is too heavy to lift, push, or pull, and/or carry, the Partner must break the box down into lighter, smaller, more manageable components, or ask for assistance from another Partner or a manager.
