Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive legal, corporate, financial, and general research for attorneys, staff, and clients utilizing a variety of information resources.
  • Ensure a thorough understanding of the scope, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness of information resources, employing the most relevant tools and data.
  • Prepare detailed research summaries and reports as required, providing clear explanations and insights.
  • Train staff on the effective use of information resources, including the development and delivery of presentations and orientations.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of guides, newsletters, and intranet content, promoting library services and resources.
  • Stay informed about advancements in legal and business research technologies and methodologies.
  • Evaluate and update practice areas, internal library sites, and resources to ensure optimal use.
  • Act as a liaison between research initiatives and designated practice groups, contributing valuable feedback during team meetings.
  • Manage library collections for specific offices, making informed decisions regarding resource management.
  • Oversee the administration of electronic resources, coordinating renewals and optimizing usage.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in library or information science from an ALA-accredited institution.
  • Specialization in law librarianship or legal research, with relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a law library environment, preferably within a law firm.
  • Strong customer service skills and a commitment to excellence.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with various legal and business information platforms, including Westlaw Edge, Lexis+, and Bloomberg Law.
  • Experience in developing and delivering training programs tailored to legal professionals.
  • Ability to support attorneys and staff across multiple locations using diverse communication methods.
  • Knowledge of copyright regulations relevant to library operations.
  • Experience with EOS integrated library systems.
  • Proficiency in data management, analysis, and visual representation of information.

Salary Range: $78,000 – $104,000
