Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Part-Time Lifeguard to join our team at the City of Boca Raton. As a Lifeguard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe use of our public swimming facilities and providing emergency lifesaving services to swimmers in need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain discipline at a swimming pool facility
  • Observe actions of swimmers and enforce water safety rules and pool rules
  • Provide emergency lifesaving services to swimmers in need
  • Maintain proper chemical balance of pool water
  • Adjust and maintain pool filtration systems and pool chemical feeding systems
  • Give swimming instructions to individuals or groups
Requirements
  • Possession of a High School diploma or valid equivalent
  • Demonstrated excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills
  • Current certifications in American Red Cross, Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED for the professional rescuer
  • Possession of a valid State of Florida Class "E" driver's license with no more than six (6) points in a three (3) year period
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work varied hours including days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. They will also be required to wear safety glasses, goggles, safety harness, respirator, safety shoes, gloves, apron, and face shield.
