About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Indirect Tax Accountant to join our team at Siemens Energy. As an Indirect Tax Accountant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the company's compliance with sales tax regulations and laws.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with monthly sales tax compliance and aid in acquiring documentation for sales tax refund claims.
  • Support the exemption certificate campaign process and review exemption certificates for accuracy and validity.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Sales Tax Accountant to ensure timely filing of sales tax refund claims.
  • Work with Tax, Accounting, and Business colleagues to manage and collect information for indirect tax audits.
  • Support the property tax, annual statement filing, and business license filing process.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
  • 3+ years of state and local indirect tax compliance experience.
  • Proven ability to prioritize, organize, and perform multiple tasks with varying deadlines.
  • Excellent accounting, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Vertex, CertCapture, and ERP systems (i.e. SAP) preferred.
