About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Indirect Tax Accountant to join our team at Siemens Energy. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with state and local indirect tax laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with businesses to obtain information for property tax renditions and reconcile property tax accounts for Siemens Energy and Siemens Wind.
  • Review strategic reviews proposed by third-party consultants and submit payment requests for annual statement filings and property taxes.
  • File annual statement documents where financial information is required and monitor tax law changes and analyze their impact on our filing profile.
  • Manage the unclaimed property process and interact independently with peers and management.
Requirements
  • BS Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
  • 5+ years of state and local indirect tax compliance experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and ability to research, interpret and apply state transaction tax laws using tax research software.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize, organize, and perform multiple tasks with varying deadlines simultaneously.
