ASML's Tax and Customs team aims to enhance ASML's value by providing expert advice on tax and customs regulations, ensuring compliance that leads to predictable and sustainable global income tax levels and trade tax expenses delivered with the utmost professional standards.

Supporting business decisions through tax and customs expertise aligned with ASML's operational context,

Efficiently managing ASML's tax and customs compliance responsibilities and risks through established policies and a robust control framework, and,


Upholding the highest standards of integrity and professionalism, respecting colleagues, clients, regulatory bodies, suppliers, and other stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities:


The Senior Tax Specialist position is based in the Chandler Arizona office and reports to the US Tax Senior Expertise Manager.

This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance and establishing technically sound tax positions.

Additional responsibilities encompass:
Conducting research and offering guidance on corporate income tax, withholding tax, and various other tax categories.
Representing the Tax & Customs teams to designated stakeholders.
Participating in cross-functional projects.

Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, as well as fellow Tax and Customs team members, to identify tax-relevant issues and propose solutions.

Working alongside the Tax and Customs expertise teams to prioritize relevant matters.
Assisting central US compliance (tax and finance) teams in collecting and analyzing necessary forms and disclosures.
Supporting the management of US income tax audits, inquiries, and notices.
Some travel may be required (5-15%).

Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in law, accounting, finance, or a related business field (or equivalent experience).
A relevant master's degree, CPA, and/or attorney designation is preferred.

A minimum of 2 years of experience in US corporate income tax; experience in transfer pricing, wage tax, and sales/use tax is advantageous but not mandatory.

This position necessitates access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to commencing work.
