Position Overview

Key responsibilities include data collection, financial analysis, scenario modeling, plan formulation, presentation crafting, and engaging with Foundations/Legacy clientele. Key Responsibilities

The Financial Planning Associate II/III will primarily engage in the following tasks:

  • Collect, organize, and analyze client information within a financial planning framework.
  • Prepare and refresh Client Planning Summaries (CPS) and Cash Snapshots.
  • Draft and revise financial strategies, organize planner meetings, and formulate planning recommendations with minimal guidance from Lead Advisors.
  • Model and address client scenarios and inquiries with limited assistance from Lead Advisors.
  • Create financial scenarios and presentations for client discussions.
  • Lead all assigned Foundations/Legacy client meetings and actively contribute to wealth advisor meetings by documenting notes and providing relevant discussion points.
  • Ensure CRM accounts are precise, current, and reflect the appropriate account classifications.
  • Assist clients with navigating eMoney and other digital resources independently.
  • Foster deeper client relationships through regular interactions, meeting attendance, and understanding their distinct financial situations.
  • Maintain accurate records of money links, beneficiaries, POAs, and RMDs in CRM.
  • Communicate promptly with clients and advisors, aiming for responses within 24-48 hours.
  • Proactively seek to enhance the Associate Advisor role and improve efficiency in client service, while actively pursuing opportunities to develop and expand a client base.

Qualifications

The Financial Planning Associate II/III position typically requires the following qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in an Associate Advisor or Advisory role.
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution is required.
  • Series 65 certification is mandatory.
  • Preferred possession of a CHFC or CFP certification for the Associate Advisor II role; however, CFP certification is essential for the Associate Advisor III role. Candidates lacking CFP certification must commit to obtaining it within one year of employment.
  • Demonstrated success in preparing meetings for lead advisors.
  • Proficient understanding of account types, tax implications, and a foundational ability to explain financial markets and current economic conditions.
  • Strong knowledge of financial topics including insurance, taxation, risk management, investments, cash flow, Monte Carlo simulations, estate planning, and employer benefits.
  • Experience in client service is required.
  • Ability to interpret and utilize risk assessment tools and results.
  • Familiarity with Schwab and Fidelity platforms is advantageous.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, CRM software, and eMoney.
  • Detail-oriented, accurate, organized, and capable of prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and proactive.
  • A collaborative team player, able to work effectively with others.
  • Desire and ability to thrive in a small company environment.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base Salary ranges from $55k to $90k annually, plus bonuses, depending on experience.
