About the Internship

A PPL Services Corporation Intern/Co-op is a temporarily employed full-time college student in an accredited four-year institution of higher learning, who is offered a work-study program designed to give college students practical work experience in their field of study.

Responsibilities

This internship provides the opportunity to explore possible career opportunities, including:

  • Meeting senior executives
  • Becoming members of business resource groups
  • Participating in community service projects
  • Contributing to departmental goals

Key Responsibilities

This intern position is responsible for performing and/or coordinating treasury and accounting duties, including:

  • Assisting with daily cash and banking controls
  • Assisting with the monthly bank reconciliation process
  • Compiling and organizing data for reports
  • Assisting with compliance reporting under financial rules and regulations
  • Maintaining control documentation and updating procedures, as needed

Qualifications

To be eligible for this internship, you must:

  • Be enrolled in school full-time (at least 12 credit hours/semester) pursuing a bachelor's degree with a declared major in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Have a basic understanding of financial and accounting theory/principles
  • Possess strong computer skills and be proficient with Excel spreadsheets
  • Familiarity with PowerPoint and Word is desired
  • Have good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Have a minimum 3.0 GPA
