Job Title: Certified Peer Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Certified Peer Specialist to join our team at Aspire Behavioral Health & Developmental Disabilities Services. The Certified Peer Specialist will provide peer support services to youth and families enrolled in our IC3 services, collaborating with a multidisciplinary treatment team to promote individual recovery and wellness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain a caseload of up to 25 youth, providing life, coping, health, and wellness skills teaching from a peer perspective.
  • Collaborate with the treatment team to develop and implement individualized recovery plans, utilizing the 10-step goal setting process.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support to youth and families, utilizing CT-R and other evidence-based interventions.
  • Document all interactions and services provided, ensuring timely completion of required documentation.
  • Participate in weekly staff meetings and monthly Child Family Team Meetings to discuss treatment progress and address barriers to care.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community stakeholders, including schools, hospitals, and social services agencies.

Requirements:

  • Must be the parent or guardian of a youth or young adult with a mental health diagnosis.
  • High School Diploma or GED and 3 years' experience in a social services related field, or Bachelor's Degree in a social services related field, or 1 year at the lower level position equivalent.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary treatment team, providing peer support and guidance to youth and families.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
