Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret and transcribe medication orders accurately, maintaining up-to-date patient medication profiles.
• Compound and dispense pharmaceuticals, including sterile and parenteral products, with precision and attention to detail.
• Monitor drug therapy regimens for contraindications, interactions, and appropriateness, recommending changes as needed.
• Participate in quality improvement and medication use review activities, collecting data and conducting quality monitors and inspections.

Requirements:

• Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy with a BS Pharmacy degree or Pharm D degree.
• Current Florida license and 6 or more months of hospital experience preferred.

Working Conditions:

• Repetitive use of hands and fingers, good hand and wrist dexterity, and ability to work in a noisy atmosphere.
• Ability to walk, bend, stoop, twist, sit, and stand for long periods, with occasional lifting and carrying of light loads (up to 40lbs).
