Job Title: Residence Life Coordinator

This is a live-in 12-month position that requires a dynamic and energetic individual to join the team. The Residence Life Office is committed to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in all its forms. Responsibilities:
  • Supervise a staff of up to 20 Resident Assistants and oversee the daily activities of buildings housing up to 400 students.
  • Conduct regular individual and group supervision meetings, evaluate Resident Assistant performance, and provide support and training.
  • Assist with the planning, implementation, and evaluation of a residential curriculum for the area, and develop and implement campus-wide initiatives.
  • Advise student groups, make referrals to University agencies when appropriate, and encourage student involvement in residential and University engagement opportunities.
  • Promote area government, advocate for students, and advise individual students with academic, career, and personal concerns.
  • Interpret and enforce University and residence hall policies and procedures, and mediate conflicts between and among students.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Work with Summer School, Conference Services, Assignment Office, Commons Desk, Housing, or New Student Orientation (NSO) during the summer.
  • Be present for arrivals and check-ins to assist with questions and concerns, respond to behavioral and maintenance issues and emergencies, and organize and provide orientation sessions for students, parents, and guests.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree, with additional education and/or experience required for higher-level positions.
  • PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check.
  • A valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check.
