Facility Maintenance and Driver

Role Summary
The Facility Maintenance and Driver will undertake both custodial responsibilities and operational tasks related to special events. This role is essential in ensuring that the premises remain clean and secure for both residents and staff.
Key Responsibilities
Custodial Duties:
- Conduct general maintenance of the building, which includes changing light bulbs, restocking bathroom supplies, sanitizing surfaces, vacuuming, mopping, buffing, waxing, and cleaning windows and restrooms.
- Assist the Social Service Coordinator with the handling of heavy items and trash disposal.
- Prepare and dismantle setups for special events as required.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for all clients and staff.
- Perform spot cleaning of carpets as necessary.
- Strip, buff, wax, and/or shampoo floors as needed.
- Store and maintain cleaning equipment appropriately.
- Oversee the cleanliness of both the front and back of the property.
- Regularly wash fencing and railings around the property.
- Report any inappropriate conduct observed on the premises to the designated officer.
- Carry out housekeeping tasks as needed.
- Diagnose and repair issues on the property as necessary.
- Ensure operational efficiency at the facility.
- Perform handyman repairs as required.
- Transport, deliver, and store supplies as needed.
- Organize and maintain all designated storage areas.
- Manage vehicle maintenance, including refueling and reporting any necessary repairs.
- Support various departments with transportation needs as required.
- Assist with community and special events.
- Contribute to food service preparations as necessary.
- Execute additional tasks as assigned by supervisors or management.
The role requires the ability to walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist regularly. Candidates should be able to grasp, push, and pull objects such as cleaning equipment and reach overhead. The ability to operate cleaning machinery, lawn mowers, and paint sprayers is essential, along with the capacity to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year of experience in custodial or grounds maintenance.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Food Handler's Card/Certification.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Understanding of proper cleaning chemical usage in compliance with safety regulations is essential.
- Familiarity with housekeeping practices.
