Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Manager to oversee all payroll services for our permanent staff. This role will provide guidance to our Payroll team and manage relationships with important third-party service providers. The successful candidate will lead a team of 2 in North America and be supported by a team of 2 in our Gurgaon, India office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the career growth planning and development activities for department members
  • Provide timely and specific coaching to staff to contribute to their growth and development
  • Manage a team including payroll processors supporting our employees in their questions on pay within established SLA commitments on customer service
  • Monitor changes in the areas of minimum wage, wage and hour law, sick leave, and other federal, state, and local regulations
  • Share expertise and practices to help ensure a highly competent and professional team
  • Create an environment where team members are empowered to take ownership and make decisions
  • Ensure information is shared in a clear, concise, and collaborative manner
  • Make staffing recommendations including hiring and terminations; perform annual performance evaluations for team members
Technical and Analytical
  • Manage payroll systems (Oracle Cloud HCM payroll) to ensure accurate payment of employees
  • Implement and monitor internal controls over payroll system
  • Create and interpret dashboards to identify, monitor, and resolve process inefficiencies
  • Create ad hoc reporting and analysis as required by our leadership team
  • Develop a close working partnership with the IT, Finance, HR, Operations, and other Payroll Services departments and help refine practices to obtain synergies and efficiencies
  • Manage projects and drive process change; research and resolve compliance issues
  • Implement benefit policy changes in a timely manner
Systems
  • Resolve all system issues during the payroll cycle
  • Set up benefit and leave plans
  • Lead configuration decisions, requirements definition, testing, and implementation of new laws and regulations in our payroll systems
  • Resolve issues in our systems by working with our IT department to prioritize, understand, and resolve them

We offer a competitive salary range of $92,000 - $115,000 per year, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, company-matching 401(k), employee stock purchase program, and tuition reimbursement.
