Key Responsibilities:- Set up and operate hemodialysis machines
- Assist in maintaining a safe and clean working environment
- Support the organization's commitment to the Quality Enhancement Program (QEP) and CQI Activities
- Provide patient education and training on dialysis procedures and equipment
- Monitor patients' vital signs and weight during treatment
- Initiate and terminate dialysis treatment according to prescribed orders
- Document patient information and treatment data accurately and timely
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous patient care experience in a hospital setting or related facility preferred
- Must meet Center for Medicaid/Medicare Services (CMS)-approved state and/or national certification requirements
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
The Patient Care Technician will work in a healthcare facility with moderate noise levels and will be required to stand for prolonged periods, lift and move patients, and push/pull equipment. The position requires frequent travel between assigned facilities and various locations within the community.
