Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented VITA Intake Specialist to join our team at the Archdiocese of San Antonio. As a key member of our VITA program, you will be responsible for ensuring that every client is aware of all services available to them and are seen in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assure clients are aware of all services available to them and are seen in a timely manner.
  • Oversee client sign-in and assist clients in the completion of the client intake sheet at their assigned site.
  • Respond to clients' general inquiries and connect them to a certified tax expert for any tax inquiries.
  • Maintain and keep the assigned area in an orderly manner, including light lifting and record keeping.
  • Provide clients with an Intake Form and prepare client files for tax preparation.
  • Ensure the site has adequate materials to operate properly and/or restock as necessary.
  • Assist the Site Coordinator with maintaining the flow and volume of site operations.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • At least 1 year of customer service experience.
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver's license or valid identification card, and valid vehicle insurance.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1-year experience in computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint).
  • Must be detail-oriented, organized, self-motivated, and work well independently and on a team.
  • Must maintain professionalism in the workplace and have good verbal skills.
  • Must have a clean driving record.
Work Environment

This is a full-time/temporary position, January - April, with 0% local and 0% overnight travel requirements.

The salary for this position is $14.00 per hour, and it is dependent on funding availability. The position can be eliminated at any time due to lack of funding to support this position.
