As a Healthcare Insurance Coordinator, you will contribute to our success in the following ways:

Ensure timely and precise verification of insurance coverage for all new referrals and current patients with payer changes.
Respond promptly and accurately to payer inquiries regarding insurance authorizations.
Process insurance verification and authorization requests until final resolution is achieved.
Obtain timely authorizations for future care/visits and assist with or provide necessary documentation as required by the payer source.
Maintain organized, effective, and efficient systems and communication to ensure accurate insurance authorizations and verifications.
Utilize data accuracy to guarantee correct billing.
Act as a liaison between the organization and insurance agencies.
What is Required?

High School Diploma/GED
2+ years of experience in insurance verification, authorization, and/or billing
Proficient skills in MS Word and Excel
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
Associates Degree in Administration is preferred
Experience in Home Health or Hospice is preferred

You will report to the Insurance Department Team Leader.
