Patient Care and Administrative Support
At Parkland Health and Hospital System (PHHS), we are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Unit Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and administrative support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate patient care and clerical needs by acting as the primary contact for the unit.
- Perform phlebotomy tasks and conduct lab draws as needed.
- Provide basic hygiene care, injections, venipunctures, and other patient care activities under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
- Transport meal trays to patients and maintain accurate records.
- Serve as a patient advocate and respond to patient needs and special requests.
Requirements:
- One year of experience in a healthcare setting.
- Must have a current Heartsaver CPR course completion card.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with all employees, patients, and families.
