We are seeking a highly skilled Risk and Compliance Registered Nurse to join our team at Southern Regional Medical Center, a member of Prime Healthcare. As a Risk Manager RN, you will play a crucial role in ensuring patient safety, reducing hospital liability, and improving overall healthcare quality.
Key Responsibilities:- Design, organize, coordinate, and implement the Risk Management Program to control and minimize loss and protect human, physical, and fiscal assets.
- Participate in performance improvement data collection, activities, and functions to promote an integrated program ensuring the provision of high-quality healthcare.
- Collaborate with personnel responsible for safety and security and actively participate in risk-related activities.
- Assist with claims investigation, management, and litigation, and facilitate reporting of safety data/events.
- Evaluate risk management programs using data capture, follow-up, and trend analysis, and present findings to appropriate committees.
- Assist with the development and implementation of initiatives, policies, and procedures, including staff education activities, regarding risk reduction/elimination throughout the organization.
- Current and valid State of GA license or Compact.
- Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
- Previous Risk or Compliance experience or minimum of one year on-the-job training.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Experience in risk management and/or professional liability claims management.
- Knowledgeable about current State Laws and Regulations as applicable to the facility.
