Risk and Compliance Officer Registered Nurse

Southern Regional Medical Center, a non-profit, 331-bed full-service hospital, seeks a dedicated Risk and Compliance Officer Registered Nurse to join its team. As a member of the Prime Healthcare Foundation, we are committed to our core values of quality, compassion, and community.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, organizing, and implementing the Risk Management Program to protect the human, physical, and fiscal assets of the organization. This includes collaborating with personnel responsible for safety and security, providing assistance with claims investigation and management, and facilitating reporting of safety data/events.
Key qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Nursing or a healthcare-related field, with a minimum of five years of clinical and/or management experience in a multidisciplinary healthcare setting. A Fellow or Diplomat of the American Society of Healthcare Risk Managers, Associate in Risk Management, or Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management is preferred.

Responsibilities
- Design, organize, and implement the Risk Management Program to control and minimize loss.
- Collaborate with personnel responsible for safety and security.
- Provide assistance with claims investigation and management.
- Facilitate reporting of safety data/events.
- Evaluate risk management programs through data capture, follow-up, and trend analysis.
- Assist with the development and implementation of initiatives, policies, and procedures regarding risk reduction/elimination.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing or healthcare-related field preferred.
- Fellow or Diplomat of American Society of Healthcare Risk Managers Associate in Risk Management (ARM) or Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM), preferred.
- Five years clinical and/or management experience in a multidisciplinary healthcare setting, including a minimum of two years of inpatient experience preferred.
- Experience in risk management and/or professional liability claims management preferred.
- Knowledgeable about current State Laws and Regulations as applicable to the facility.
