Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk and Compliance Registered Nurse to join our team at Prime Healthcare. As a Risk Manager RN, you will play a crucial role in ensuring patient safety, reducing hospital liability, and improving overall healthcare quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Implement Risk Management Programs: Develop, organize, and coordinate risk management programs to control and minimize loss, protecting human, physical, and fiscal assets.
  • Collaborate with Safety and Security Teams: Work closely with personnel responsible for safety and security to identify and mitigate risks, promoting a safe and secure environment.
  • Investigate and Manage Claims: Assist with claims investigation, management, and litigation, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Facilitate Reporting and Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and present safety data and event reports to inform risk management strategies.
  • Develop and Implement Risk Reduction Initiatives: Assist in developing and implementing policies, procedures, and staff education programs to reduce risk and promote a culture of safety.
Requirements
  • Current State of GA License or Compact: Possess a valid and current State of Georgia license or compact.
  • BLS (AHA) Certificate: Hold a current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current certification.
  • ACLS (AHA) Certificate: Obtain an ACLS (AHA) certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current certification.
  • Previous Risk or Compliance Experience: Possess previous experience in risk management or compliance, or a minimum of one year of on-the-job training.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN): Possess a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.
  • Experience in Risk Management/Professional Liability Claims Management: Have experience in risk management and/or professional liability claims management.
  • Knowledge of Current State Laws and Regulations: Be knowledgeable about current State laws and regulations applicable to the facility.
