At Mission Regional Medical Center, we are committed to delivering exceptional patient care and protecting our assets. We are seeking a highly skilled Risk and Compliance Officer Registered Nurse to join our team.
Key Responsibilities- Design, organize, coordinate, and implement the Risk Management Program to minimize loss and protect human, physical, and fiscal assets.
- Collaborate with personnel responsible for safety and security to promote an integrated program ensuring high-quality healthcare.
- Provide assistance with claims investigation, management, and litigation.
- Facilitate reporting of safety data/events and evaluate risk management programs through data capture, follow-up, and trend analysis.
- Assist in developing and implementing initiatives, policies, and procedures for risk reduction/elimination throughout the organization.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on problem identification and resolution, cost containment issues, implementation of new services, and performance measures.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing or healthcare-related field preferred.
- Fellow or Diplomat of American Society of Healthcare Risk Managers Associate in Risk Management (ARM) or Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM), preferred.
- Five years of clinical and/or management experience in a multidisciplinary healthcare setting, including a minimum of two years of inpatient experience, preferred.
- Experience in risk management and/or professional liability claims management preferred.
- Knowledge of current State Laws and Regulations applicable to the facility.
