Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all contract documents are complete and conform to corporate policies and import/export regulations
  • Fill out import documents, compiling carrier and route assignments, and tracking shipments

  • Ensure shipments and deliveries arrive in a timely manner
  • Issue arrival notices, freight releases, and invoices to both international and domestic clients
  • Process payments to vendors
  • Maintain a good relationship with overseas agents
  • Handle file preparation and processing
Requirements:
  • AA or BA/BS degree in International Business preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience in international logistics and freight forwarding
  • Experience with negotiating with carriers
  • Knowledge of import/export and freight forwarding terminology and procedures
  • Proficient in PC applications
  • Strong math skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Excellent data entry skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently
