Job Summary

The Sales Planner will be responsible for organizing and coordinating sales operations to ensure the efficient execution of sales activities. This role involves scheduling internal sales-related events and meetings, gathering and analyzing sales forecasts, managing budgets, projects, and leads, and supporting the sales group with various administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Planning and Reporting:
    • Gather and analyze sales budget/forecasts from sales managers and other related departments
    • Gather and monitor projects/leads information collected from each sales group
    • Report to and communicate with Japan HQ regarding sales matters
  • Coordinating:
    • Coordinate training events with sales managers in collaboration with internal/external related entities to support continuous development
  • Other Related Responsibilities:
    • Coordinate with other departments, such as sales administration and accounting, to ensure seamless operations
    • Assist in the preparation of sales presentations, proposals, and other materials
Requirements
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Organizational Skills:
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks, events, and deadlines efficiently
  • Analytical Skills:
    • Strong ability to gather, analyze, and interpret sales data and forecasts
  • Communication Skills:
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with sales managers and other departments
  • Project Management:
    • Proficiency in planning, coordinating, and executing projects and events
  • Budget Management:
    • Understanding of budgeting principles and ability to manage and monitor budgets effectively
  • Detail-Oriented:
    • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in data collection, reporting, and event planning
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Ability to work collaboratively with sales teams and other departments
Preferred Qualifications
  • Language Skills:
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills in Japanese
    • English skills are a plus
Education and Experience
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in business or a related field
  • Experience:
    • At least 2-3 years of sales planning or a related field
  • Eligibility:
    • Legal eligibility to work in the United States
Working Conditions
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Prolonged periods sitting at desk and working on a computer
    • Essential position functions require ability to routinely read documents for general understanding and analytical purposes and viewing a computer monitor
