Key Responsibilities

The Neurosurgery Clinical Specialist plays a vital role in assisting neurosurgeons during surgical procedures, operating under the surgeon's guidance. This position requires a solid understanding of human surgical anatomy, proficiency in surgical techniques, and adeptness in using stereotactic and image-guided instruments while positioning patients. The specialist will collaborate with the surgeon in pre-operative planning and the intra-operative execution of image-guided surgeries. Ensuring the technical aspects of the procedure are monitored for safety and effectiveness is crucial. The Neurosurgery Clinical Specialist will develop the ability to anticipate the surgeon's needs throughout the neurosurgical process.

Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in a scientific field, healthcare, or biotechnical studies is required, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare or biotechnical roles. Additional qualifications as a Surgical Assistant or Technologist, or experience in servicing operating room/medical equipment, are advantageous. Familiarity with medical terminology, practices, and human anatomy is essential. Attention to detail is a critical skill for this role.

The compensation range for this position is $34.91 - $52.39 per hour.

The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional late shifts extending to 5:00 PM or later as needed.
