Job Summary

Mayo Clinic is seeking a skilled Pathology Reporting Specialist to join our team in a clinical support role. As a key member of our pathology department, you will play a critical part in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of patient case reports and documents. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you can utilize your organizational skills and attention to detail to support the work of pathologists and other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities
  • Transcribe pathology reports and other documents with precision and accuracy
  • Coordinate patient case correspondence and materials, test orders, and stains for cases
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives, including data collection and coordination of case conference materials
  • Review and ensure accuracy of work unit operating procedures
  • Provide training and education to new team members and serve as a resource and mentor
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems in a timely and effective manner

Requirements
  • Five years of secretarial experience or an associate degree in a related field with three years of experience in healthcare
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a variety of teams
  • Proficiency in computer software applications, including word processing, spreadsheet, and database management
