A challenging opportunity has arisen at CHI St Vincent Infirmary, a 600-bed faith-based acute care facility, to lead a department of frontline nurses as our Nurse Manager. As the conduit between caregivers and leadership teams, you will communicate the organization's goals and objectives to the nursing staff while advocating for your team by bringing issues, requests, or new ideas from them to leadership.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee a department of nurses to ensure everyone has what they need to deliver the best care possible to patients.
• Engage with the floor, talking to nurses, patients, and families to keep your finger on the pulse of your department and maintain smooth operations.
• Attend meetings with leadership to stay informed about new initiatives, budgetary status, areas for improvement, and bring this information back to your team.
• Monitor attendance among nursing staff, watching for any patterns of missed shifts that may need addressing.
• Keep an eye on productivity and efficiency in your department, including budgets, to achieve the best throughput without compromising care.
• Mentor people on your team, sharing your knowledge and confidence with assistant nurse managers, charge nurses, and others, building them into potential nurse managers like yourself.

Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required
• Registered Nurse License in good standing (State of Arkansas or compact state prior to hire)
• At least 5 years of nursing experience in an acute care setting
• Cardiac ICU experience strongly preferred
• 3-5 years of clinical leadership experience is preferred
