About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our General Accounting Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting various areas of accounting, including the monthly financial close, bank and account reconciliations, budget variance analysis, and regulatory accounting and rates groups.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to the success of our company. You will have the chance to develop your skills and expertise in accounting and financial reporting, and work on a variety of projects that will challenge and engage you.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly journal entries in the SAP ERP system
  • Perform bank reconciliation and general ledger account reconciliation
  • Assist in the preparation of SEC, FERC, and other state regulatory agency reports
  • Extract and manipulate data using query tools for various databases and systems
  • Perform monthly variance to budget/forecast analysis for Corporate departments
  • Provide ad-hoc accounting support as needed
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required
  • Minimum 0-2 years professional work experience is required
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) is required
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
