Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Accounting Instructor to join our faculty team at Marion Technical College. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching accounting courses, maintaining accurate records, and providing excellent student support.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Teach accounting courses using applied learning methods and maintain accurate records of student performance.
  2. Respond to student inquiries and maintain confidentiality in accordance with College and FERPA policies.
  3. Develop and implement course materials, technology, and web-based courses to create an engaging learning environment.
  4. Work collaboratively with other faculty and administration to carry out instructional procedures and maintain a positive learning environment.
  5. Maintain user proficiency in software programs, systems, and databases used by the College.
  6. Attend organizational, orientation, or training meetings and departmental meetings as required.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; CPA preferred. Excellent English, communication, and writing skills required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and strong computer skills necessary. Ability to work independently and complete projects with minimal direction.
