Position Overview

The Customer Engagement Specialist is dedicated to fostering a welcoming atmosphere for members by delivering outstanding service to Planet Fitness members, potential members, and visitors.
Essential Working Hours: Weekend Opener 6:30 AM - 2:30 PM

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome members, potential members, and visitors, ensuring exceptional service is provided.
  • Manage all front desk operations, including:
  • Answering phone calls in a courteous manner and assisting callers with various inquiries.
  • Checking members into the system efficiently.
  • Facilitating new member registrations.
  • Conducting tours for prospective members.
  • Processing necessary updates to member accounts.
  • Addressing member inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally, escalating to management when necessary.
  • Assisting in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the facility.
Qualifications
  • Experience in customer service is preferred.
  • Basic computer skills are required.
  • A strong interest in fitness and wellness.
  • Positive and energetic demeanor.
  • Dependability and punctuality are essential.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills; capable of engaging positively and professionally with members and colleagues, consistently exceeding expectations.
  • Strong listening abilities with a knack for empathy and problem-solving.
  • Ability to handle interactions with diplomacy, utilizing appropriate language and behavior.
  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequent standing and walking throughout the shift.
  • Regular communication in person or via phone during the shift.
  • Occasional lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
  • May encounter hazardous materials during the shift.
Benefits Overview

All employees will receive a complimentary Black Card membership after 90 days of employment.

As a member of the Core Development and Management team, you may qualify for benefits if you are regularly scheduled and work a minimum of 30 hours per week. Benefits commence on the first of the month following your hire date.
