Your Role

Compensation: $21.25 hourly during training, transitioning to performance-based pay.

We require a CDL class A or B license along with a minimum of one year of commercial driving experience. The role involves operating an ADU truck on designated routes to various agricultural sites, managing ADU containers, and transporting products to a processing facility for unloading.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete a mandatory training program provided by the company.
  • Adhere to safety protocols while driving, delivering feed, and handling loading/unloading tasks, prioritizing animal welfare.
  • Follow all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
  • Promptly report any accidents to the appropriate authorities.
  • Abide by all guidelines established by the receiving agent.
The above responsibilities outline the general nature and level of work expected from individuals in this position. Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Possession of a current Class A or B CDL.
  • A minimum of one year of commercial driving experience is essential.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Maintain an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to obtain a DOT medical card upon hire.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Skill in connecting trailers to tractors, including backing under trailers, raising landing gear, and connecting airlines.
  • Capability to operate a manual transmission vehicle.
  • During pre-trip inspections, ability to climb into engine compartments and perform necessary checks.
  • Proficiency in opening and closing trailer gates and doors for loading and unloading.
  • Ability to navigate tight spaces, such as fuel islands, when entering and exiting the cab.
  • Awareness of blind spots and mirrors when backing up.
  • Report any issues encountered during operations through designated reporting channels.
  • Understand emergency notification procedures for effective communication in case of emergencies.
