Job Title: Medical Records Clerk

Northwest Human Services is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing quality healthcare and social services in Marion and Polk counties. We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Records Clerk to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Medical Records Clerk will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient medical records in our Electronic Health Records System. This includes receiving and processing outside medical records, assigning documents to the correct medical provider, and reviewing and scanning completed health information into the patient records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor Release of Information for new patients and ensure timely receipt of outside records
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records in the Electronic Health Records System
  • Review and assign documents to the correct medical provider
  • Scan completed health information into the patient records
  • Ensure continuity of care for patients by retrieving documents from outside sources when necessary
Requirements:
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Ability to cope with a fast-paced environment
  • Able to work flexible hours
  • Communicate effectively and handle medical records in a confidential manner
