About the Role

This position is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Community & Animal Support department, providing exceptional service and care for customers visiting and contacting the organization. The CASA Supervisor reports into the Community, Animal Support, & Fields Services Manager and collaborates with teams throughout the organization to deliver the highest quality of care and ensure consistent flow-through of intake and adoptions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Train and manage staff to deliver exceptional customer service and animal care.
  • Maintain accurate animal records and prepare monthly reports.
  • Collaborate with teams to identify new adoption marketing opportunities, intake diversion strategies, and lost and found reunification efforts.
  • Develop and implement strategies to meet short and long-term goals.
  • Collaborate with the finance and operations team to ensure proper inventory controls for purchasing, storage, and tracking of supplies and equipment.

  • Demonstrate compassion towards people and pets.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external customers and maintain the highest level of customer engagement.
  • Value others' input and skills and involve them in critical thinking and decision making.
  • Ensure quality services and experiences are provided to shelter clients, visitors, staff, and volunteers.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency in a second language is preferred but not required.
  • Moderately competent in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Working Conditions
  • Works in an area with a high noise level.
  • Potentially subject to animal bites and scratches.
