The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst makes significant contributions to the organization by collecting, cleaning, and interpreting complex data sets to answer business questions and solve problems. This includes identifying and effectively communicating improvement opportunities and supporting the evaluation of existing processes and strategic improvement efforts.

This role consistently acts as the analytics expert in meetings and discussions with stakeholders, operating independently to drive results. The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst must be articulate in both oral and written communications, including presentations, and able to translate complex analyses and insights to non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently consults with stakeholders to gather project requirements and define scope on projects of all sizes.
  • Collaborates with internal partners and organizations in the design and development of reporting solutions and analytic studies to support business needs.
  • Plans projects and requests completion tasks.
  • Provides time and effort estimates based on requirements gathering.
  • Develops, validates, and executes complex queries.
  • Develops complex reports and performs complex data analysis that answers business questions for internal customers.
  • Interprets results and makes recommendations to business areas based on findings.
  • Presents analysis and reports to internal customers and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong experience independently managing multiple projects.
  • Proficiency with relevant source systems and databases/data marts.
  • Ability to stay abreast of current industry trends and become facile with various business intelligence software systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience working in non-cogito Epic application with experience working in Reporting Workbench, Radar, and SlicerDicer.
  • Epic Application certification preferred.
  • 2 years of experience working in the cogito suite of tools.
  • Epic Cogito certifications preferred.
