Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Emergency Hospital Systems. As a key member of our Radiology Department, you will be responsible for operating radiologic equipment to produce high-quality radiographs (X-rays) for diagnostic purposes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Position patients on examining tables and adjust immobilization devices to obtain optimal views of specified body areas.
  • Operate radiologic equipment, including mobile X-ray units, to produce radiographs in various settings, such as operating rooms, emergency rooms, and patient bedsides.
  • Adjust equipment controls to set exposure factors, such as time and distance, based on knowledge of radiographic exposure techniques and protocols.
  • Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff.
  • Maintain awareness of current hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the maintenance of radiology equipment and supplies.
  • Ensure operation of radiology equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements and troubleshooting malfunctions.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • ARRT and Texas Medical Board License.
  • One year of radiologic/imaging experience, with preference for specific experience and training in CT.
  • Strong medical terminology skills.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
