Job Summary

The PTSD Foundation of America is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Support and Giving to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing strategic plans to increase financial resources and visibility for our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with our leadership team to forge new relationships and cultivate individual and corporate philanthropic support.
  • Assist the Executive Director in creating and implementing a comprehensive plan for developing key external alliances.
  • Direct the organization's marketing and sales policies, objectives, and initiatives.
  • Develop and oversee sales and brand goals, leading departmental initiatives to achieve them.
  • Spearhead development efforts to ensure the organization has the resources needed to offer long-term, quality mentoring to veterans.
  • Oversee the Event Manager to ensure the success of all foundation events.
  • Conduct and facilitate personal donor visits to cultivate positive and purposeful relationships.
  • Establish and implement the infrastructure needed to support our mission through the solicitation of major gifts, special events, and corporate and grant support.
  • Develop annual goals, objectives, and plans for donor recognition, retention, and increased giving.
  • Expand and diversify donor contributions, working closely with team members to identify funding for new initiatives.
  • Oversee pledge tracking, gift fulfillment, and donor agreements.
  • Maintain accurate donor records and information using CRM and other systems.
  • Work with the finance department to reconcile gifts received and maintain detailed records of event revenues, expenses, and budgets.
  • Research funding sources and trends to position our organization ahead of major funding changes or trends.
  • Supervise and develop staff.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year accredited university or college; advanced degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years major gift fundraising experience within a non-profit organization.
  • Proven track record of leading profit-driven teams.
  • Superior interpersonal skills with the ability to build deep and lasting relationships.
  • 5+ years of leadership/management experience.
  • Competency in Microsoft (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word), SharePoint & Donor Perfect.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Metrics and data analytics driven.
  • Strong collaboration and team building.
  • High degree of integrity while working with sensitive and confidential matters.
