Position Overview:
DTS is seeking a skilled Automation Test Engineer specializing in mobile applications for a key client role.

Essential Skills:
- Proficient in Mobile Test Automation utilizing tools such as Appium, Espresso, and XCUITest.
- Experience with Mobile Device Cloud platforms like BrowserStack, Perfecto, or SauceLabs.
- Strong coding abilities in JavaScript.

Technical Environment:
- Familiarity with Android Studios/Mocha, XCUI Test (iOS).
- Knowledge of tools including GitLab, Bit Rise, REST APIs, Stubbing/Mocking, Docker, and AWS concepts.
- Experience with qTest for Test Case Management and JIRA for Agile Project Management.
- Understanding of Confluence for documentation.
- Proficient in Test Automation frameworks such as Appium, Espresso, and XCUITest.
- Experience with Testing Frameworks like Pytest and nodeJS.
- Familiarity with Device Clouds including Browserstack, Perfecto, and SauceLabs.
- Knowledge of Detox testing tools is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in Agile ceremonies and fulfill testing duties within the agile team, including the creation and execution of test cases, defect identification, logging, and triaging.
- Collaborate with Tech Leads and Product Owners to automate test cases on Android and iOS platforms based on business priorities.
- Contribute to framework improvements by developing robust, effective, and reusable components.
- Conduct root-cause analysis to identify and resolve issues leading to production defects.
- Work closely with the Product Engineering team to evaluate business requirements and assist in defining acceptance criteria for new features.
- Define testing approaches for various phases: unit, component, and system, while maximizing code and test coverage.
- Collaborate with API developers and DevOps engineers to provide ongoing feedback for continuous improvement of testing strategies.
- Enhance the test environment and create tests that uncover defects prior to any fixes.
- Implement shift-left testing practices within sprint teams to align with organizational goals during platform modernization.
- Adhere to coding standards and best practices to ensure the highest quality of testing.
- Support pre and post-release activities by participating in QA tasks as scheduled.
- Engage in testing tool evaluations to continuously assess and enhance testing strategies.
- Maintain a solid understanding of QA workflows and best practices in test automation.

Mandatory Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in developing automated tests for mobile applications.
- At least 5 years of experience in breaking down user stories and requirements to create manual and automated tests in an Agile setting.
- Proficient in JavaScript and Object-Oriented Programming.
- Extensive experience in Mobile Test Automation using tools like Appium, Espresso, and XCUITest.
- Hands-on experience with Mobile Device Clouds such as BrowserStack, Perfecto, and SauceLabs.
- Preferred experience with IDEs like VSCode, IntelliJ, or Eclipse.

Additional Skills:
- Familiarity with BitBucket, GIT, Jenkins, Maven, Docker, and uDeploy.
- Understanding of Automated Test Driven Development (ATDD) or Test Driven Development (TDD).
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Experience:
- Experience in an Agile Development environment.
- Hands-on experience with continuous testing in CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience working in an offshore-onshore model.
- Background as a Software Quality Engineer in the Banking sector.
- Hands-on experience in Accessibility testing for Mobile applications.
- Proficiency in JavaScript and Python.
- Demonstrated ability to innovate by developing test automation solutions and utilities.
